D E S C R I P T I O N
The WL Research & Development Department is looking for an experienced laser engineer to join its diode-pumped laser group. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: • Design and product development of solid state, diode-pumped CW and Q-Switched lasers and harmonic lasers (SHG/THG/FHG).
• Providing design and analysis expertise in the development, specification and testing of the product, through all phases of development up until the product is released.
• Communicating effectively with the team as well as the management during all phases of the development.
R E Q U I R E M E N T S
- The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: • Graduate degree or higher in physics, engineering or a related field. • 3+ years of hands on experience in diode-pumped laser engineering and product development of high power diode pumped solid-state lasers and UV lasers. • Experience in fiber lasers/amplifiers and knowledge of diode packaging is a plus.
