D E S C R I P T I O N
Responsible for implementing the build plan in the planning system. The primary goal of this position is to create the build plan to meet specific customer demand within the established constraints of the capacity plan. This position is responsible for prompt communication of changes in delivery schedule to the customer and advocating the customer’s needs within the planning & operations organization. * Establish & communicate sales order delivery schedules based on the manufacturing production schedule. * Implement production schedule based on established capacity availability * Plan, schedule and release materials to support the manufacturing production schedule. * Review/establish safety stock requirements for critical components * Analyze and resolve MPS/MRP exception messages. * Review & implement Engineering Change Orders. * Review & maintain item attributes such as lead times, order modifiers, routing queue times, item types, and planner codes, to ensure that MPS/MRP suggestions are based on accurate data. * Monitor & communicate changes in lead times for manufactured items. * Perform inventory excess & obsolescence analysis. Recommend inventory disposition, reserve requirements, and provide analysis of cause and corrective action.
R E Q U I R E M E N T S
- BA, BS or equivalent with a supply chain planning/materials emphasis preferred.
APICS certification preferred. 5 years related experience in production/capacity planning. Computer proficiency with MS Office applications is a must. 3-5 years of related MRP experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment. Experience with M2M ERP software a plus.
