D E S C R I P T I O N
Common Agenda has been entrusted to find a quality Laser Design Engineer. The selected candidate will lead a team of process engineers and will be responsible for development of high power semiconductor laser sources from design concept to integration and testing.
R E Q U I R E M E N T S
- - MS or PhD in electrical engineering, applied physics, or equivalent and at least 5 years of industry experience are required
- 5+ years of experience as a laser design engineer and two successfully demonstrated laser devices is required
- Detailed knowledge of DFB or DBR laser design as well as III-V semiconductors
- Detailed knowledge of compound semiconductors, epitaxial growth, laser device physics, fabrication process and packaging is required
- 2+ years of hands on laser fabrication experience
- Understanding of analog fiber optics and components experience are highly desired
- Manufacturing and quality control experience are also highly desired
- Must be strong in problem solving and in organizing and leading engineering staff, external contractors, and vendors
