Mechanical Engineer - Design; Automated Optical Assemby, Test

Mechanical Engineer

Experience Level:

• 2-5 years

Responsibilities:

• Design of systems for automated optical assembly and electro-optical test
• Creation of part, assembly, and detailed mechanical drawings using Solidworks
• General mechanical design support for assembly tooling

Required Experience:

• Proficient in Solidworks and PDM Works
• Experience with stages, actuators, motors
• Experience with vision systems
• Knowledge of machining, CNC, stamping/forming processes
• Experience with material selection and properties (metals, plastics)
• Tolerance analysis, GD&T, ANSI Y14.5 experience

Additional Desired Experience:

• Working knowledge of conventional electronics packaging technology (die attach, wire bond, PCBs)
• Experience working with optical fiber and lasers
• Experience with Solidworks Simulation and Floworks
