The Opto-Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of lasers and precision opto-mechanical components used in laser systems.

• Design and development of lasers and components for laser systems

• From concept to final product

• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs

• Minimum BSME required

• 5+ years experience in the field or related field (medical opto-mech devices and systems, laser processing heads, laser scanning systems, fiber components, photonics components and devices, precision mechanical, military mechanical and optical systems, microscope displays, visual and display systems)

• SolidWorks design experience

• Preferred experience designing laser and opto-mechanical systems and components, lenses, fibers, and crystals

• Proficient design and development organizational skills
