Job Location Danbury, CT

Looking for an assertive individual with previous experience in cost analysis, project audit preparation as well as advanced skills using financial software packages, databases and spreadsheets. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting is also required. Responsibilities include revenue recognition and forecasting for business units to provide planning, profitability and pricing analysis for current and future projects. Working with departmental teams, the cost/systems analyst also assists in process mapping, research and controls development. Cost/Systems analysis plays an important role for businesses looking to improve overall profitability and efficiency and helps executives make crucial business decisions. The individual selected will be a change management leader in a high profile position.

Duties and Responsibility: 

• Manage financial aspects of DCAA audits and corresponding support
• Maintain and update forward pricing rates and tables
• Schedule 14B submission and maintenance (Absorption Analysis)
• Indirect rate summaries
• Internal controls development and management
• Breakdown and analysis of WIP inventories
• Cost transfer management
• Contract close – outs and related audit support
• System maintenance of direct labor and absorption
• Billing process management
• Transaction flow process mapping
• Project cost auditing and analysis
• Special Projects and Ad Hoc reporting as required 

• Bachelor’s Degree with major in accounting or finance
• Advanced degree or certification preferred but not required
• 7-10 years of experience in a senior accounting/finance role preferably with 3 plus years in the role of a project cost accounting specialist or internal audit
• Experience with internal controls development and maintenance preferred
• Experience in a Hyperion (HFM), Oracle ERP environment preferred
• Experience in a DOD/Project environment required
• A solid set of advanced accounting skills a requirement.

This position could require the ability to obtain and retain any applicable security clearances, including interim security clearances, within a time period to be established by the Company
