Location: New Jersey
Due to increased production and the addition of new Plasma Deposition Assist technology, a leading producer of custom optics, optical coatings, crystal components, and systems has an immediate opportunity for a hands-on Thin Film Process Engineer.
This position requires an in-depth knowledge of thin film deposition and vacuum science with coating design, process and product application skills. Well developed troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills in thin film methodology and ability to manage coating process development from concept to prove-out is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability discover, transfer and adapt thin film processes, techniques or methods in a custom manufacturing environment. Well developed oral, writtencommunication, and team skills are essential.
Experience: Minimum five years of optical thin film coating and process development, UV to IR in a manufacturing environment. E-beam & Ion assist required; experience in Plasma assist deposition a definite plus. Experience in TfCalc design software preferred.
Education: Minimum, BS in Optics, material Science, Physics or related field.
