Position Summary
Support business requirements in the area of material execution to plan, new product introduction, process improvement and business system development, deployment and team training.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years demonstrated experience in Production planning

Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships

Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as SharePoint

Must have a strong understanding of Oracle MRP systems

Ability to lift 40 lbs
Qualifications
Responsible for overall accuracy and timeliness of the Material flow based on the MPS demand

Drive consistent communications between planning, quality, manufacturing, engineering, project accounting, and project management for consistent project Material EAC’s and Execution Charts

Improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
Creates and maintains the expected completion of each scheduled job

Reviews the schedule and ensures the raw materials are available when needed to run according to the schedule

Create purchase requisitions and monitor material deliveries to support the run schedules

Ensures all outside services are planned and monitored

	<description>SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION: 

The Systems Engineer for Optical Communications will drive system definition and lead the integration effort for the AOptix Free Space Optical Communications product line as applied to various mobile platforms. The potential candidate must be a hands-on dedicated, articulate, energetic, and results oriented team player with positive attitude and excellent people skills. 

The individual should have demonstrated leadership skills with a thorough understanding of hands on systems engineering and have prior experience delivering solutions from concept through development. 

The systems engineer will be responsible for developing system level technical requirements based on system performance and link budget modeling and ensuring that the integrated system meets these requirements. The systems engineer will devise and orchestrate system and subsystem testing and data analysis to verify performance before and after delivery to the customer.  The system engineer will provide the technical interface to program customers, representing engineering in product definition, performing design trade-offs, and defining the verification of system-level performance and testing.  The individual will be a key technical point of contact with the customer, and will be responsible for ensuring that the product performance meets program requirements.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Lead the definition of system architecture and functionality for operation in designated environments (including air and ground operation), maintaining optical communications power link budgets, link acquisition performance models, design and implement lab based experiments to verify models 
Understand and direct technical trade-offs and recommend architecture/design direction 
Track and verify that the system level design requirements are met 
Write formal system design requirements specifications document, perform analysis/allocations to lower level subsystems to meet system objectives, and define internal and external physical interfaces to the product 
Lead technical discussions on design trade offs and be the focal point for the technical activities of the optical, electrical, mechanical and software engineering groups 
Develop and present technical presentations to executive management and customers on product architecture and design trade off decisions 
Lead system level and component level problem solving activities and support the engineering team through hands on problem solving during integration and test activities 
Participate in initial trials and customer demonstrations, and supply timely data analysis to support interim results and final reports
